The TASER M26c was modeled after the police TASER M26 and is identical to the TASER M26 Law Enforcement version. The only difference is that civilians can only purchase 15 foot cartridges.
The TASER M26c has 26 watts, whereas the TASER M18L had18 watts. This is the reason for the name change.
There is a slight pulse rate change depending on the battery type used:
TASER M26c:
20 PPS + or - 25% with NiMH rechargeable batteries
15 PPS + or - 25% with alkaline batteries
TASER M18L:
15 PPS + or - 25% with NiMH rechargeable batteries
12 PPS + or - 25% with alkaline batteries
TASER M26c shoots out 2 darts attached to 15 feet of wire. TASERs enable 50,000 volts to travel over the wires and over-ride the central nervous system, providing incredible take down power. The TASER M26c also doubles as a contact stun gun providing a powerful backup.
